Give Financial Support
We warmly welcome financial donations to support a wide variety of projects, all of which benefit today’s students, and students of the future.
If you would like to discuss specific opportunities, such as scholarships, science projects, sports sponsorships, or music donations, please contact Development Director, Ant Ford email@example.com or donate here.
Buy a Brick
For $250 you can ‘buy a brick’ in the wall, which includes a plaque with your name and years at Westlake on it.
The brick permanently displays your name, alongside others, on the Westlakers Wall in the 2016 gymnasium.
We have numerous opportunities for you or your company to sponsor, including sports, music concerts, the annual school production and school events. Each of these provides its marketing and branding opportunities.
Examples of our current sponsors include:
- Archibald & Shorter/Landrover and Prestige sponsor our 1st XV Rugby team.
- Local accountants DFK Oswin Griffiths Carlton sponsor out premier Tennis team.
- Local law firm Schnauer & Co. sponsored the Father-Son Breakfast in 2017 and 2018.
- Mark Prior, NAI Harcourts sponsored our Sports Dinner in 2017 and 2018.
- Penberthy’s Insurance sponsors the International department.
The school continues to provide a vast range of learning opportunities and experiences for its students. However, there is usually a financial commitment required from students for them to participate.
One of the Westlakers Committee’s most satisfying roles is to provide financial assistance to deserving students whose current situation might otherwise exclude them from taking part in school activities that will help to progress their talents.
During 2018 the Westlakers Committee provided financial support to 12 students, allowing them to attend national tournaments, travel on overseas school trips and participate in outdoor education activities.
The $100 Club is an integral part of our regular fundraising programme and one that makes a genuine difference to the lives of Westlake Boys students. This initiative while helping our current students achieve and see success, also allows our Westlaker community to ‘pay it forward’.
The school runs a Gateway programme to help Year 13 students who are interested in pursuing a career in the trades. Local businesses offer apprenticeships which range from a day to several weeks, providing valuable real-world work experience. If you would like to know more about getting involved in the Gateway programme, please contact Tara Heta: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s an example of a Gateway placement, offered by Westlaker Gavin Bindon.
